Terms and Conditions
You must be over the legal smoking age of 18 if purchasing cigars or any tobacco products. For first time cigarette customers, a current Driver’s License or Proof of Age shall be required via email.

New Customers & Orders
Please note that when signing up for the first time and placing your first order, Alexanders Cigar Merchants reserves the right to request additional information from you in order to confirm your identity. In some cases, we also reserve the right to request that the order amount be transferred via Direct Deposit into our account.

Any pricing errors on this site are subject to change without notification.

Melbourne & Interstate Postage Fees
Express Post – (1 to 2 days CBD delivery upon receiving shipping confirmation)

In order to receive your parcel promptly, keep in mind that orders must be placed no later than 4.30 pm 

CATEGORY 1

A flat postage fee of $10.55 (Express Post – 500g) generally covers the following items:

  • Usually one full cigar box (25 cigars) can fit into the smaller satchel, although larger boxes may fall into category 2
  • The majority of smaller cigar packs.
  • Most lighters, cigar cutters, cigar cases and mostly smaller items. 
  • Smaller Giftware items such as: cigarette accessories, hip flasks, toiletries & wallets. 
  • Most pipes and tobaccos.

CATEGORY 2

A flat postage fee of $14.80 (Express Post – upto 3kg) covers the following items:

  • If purchasing a larger sized cigar box (25 cigars per box).
  • Smaller Humidors and Ashtrays.
  • Books and Cigar Aficionado Magazines

CATEGORY 3

A flat postage fee of $23.60 (Express Post – upto 5kg) covers the following items:

  • If purchasing several cigar boxes (25 cigars per box).
  • Larger Humidors and Giftware items such as Board Games etc.
  • All items that do not fit in this 5kg satchel will be packaged and sent out via Registered Post

International Shipping Rates & Policies – (not active yet)
PLEASE NOTE – FIRST TIME INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS MUST PROCESS A DIRECT DEPOSIT INTO OUR ACCOUNT (CREDIT CARDS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED). CIGARETTES ARE NOT SOLD OUTSIDE OF AUSTRALIA. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.

When ordering cigars, please be aware that freshness is of utmost importance to us. Hence we prefer to ship via ECI (EXPRESS COURIER INTERNATIONAL – which includes a Tracking number) to ensure items are received promptly – (3-5 business days)

In most cases, depending on the weight, the postage falls generally between $65.00 – $75.00 AUD. You shall be notified via email with further details.

Also, please note that each country’s shipping and customs laws may be subject to any import duties or fees.

Unfortunately, customers within the USA cannot purchase cigars or tobacco products as it is a direct violation of the US Federal Laws – (Trading with the Enemies Act).  

Returns Policy
It is important that you contact us immediately upon receipt of your cigar shipment (within 7 days) if wishing to return any goods. Cigars may be returned provided the following criteria are taken into account: * Cigars cannot be exchanged unless they are defective or damaged from our end. Each cigar is thoroughly examined prior to delivery by our experienced staff for quality control for any signs of damage. Upon receiving cigars, please note they should be stored at the correct temperature (18C) and humidity (72%) 

* Contact us in order to indicate the reason for your return. 
* If returning items, indicate the order number or the e-mail address and name of the person who purchased this order, along with the reason for your return on a separate piece of paper, to the address shown below.

Lost / Missing Items
Alexanders Cigar Merchants cannot take responsibility for any parcels lost during transit. We will, however, take measures with Australia Post and do our best to help locate any missing items. If you wish your parcel to be fully covered, Alexanders recommends that you add extra insurance to cover any potential loss or damage of your goods (for a small fee). Please specify this in the comments section upon checkout and we will contact you with further information.


Out-of-Stock Cigars
Due to high demand or supplier unavailability, some cigars may periodically be out-of-stock. If you have already placed an order for an out-of-stock cigar/s, please note that you can opt to wait for the item to return, select an alternative, or simply cancel your order. Your credit card will not be processed until the item is back in stock.

Refunds
Out-of-stock cigars: If you have requested a refund for an out-of-stock cigar/s that you have already placed in your order, we shall notify you via e-mail ASAP. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within the same day of our receiving your notice. Gifts: If you are returning a gift, you may choose to exchange for another item of equal value or opt for a gift voucher to the value of your return, which may be used any time toward your purchases at Alexanders Cigar Merchants. The gift certificate will be mailed to the gift recipient at the same address to which the order was shipped.
